We offer classes, lectures, and other activities that promote lifetime learning.
DVD Lecture Series – An educational video lecture series is shown once a week, typically from a resource like the Great Courses series. Topics vary with the series shown. Mondays, 10:15am-Noon.
Watercolor Workshop – A local art instructor and an accomplished artist teaches the principles of composition with the addition of watercolor. Each session is 6 weeks long. Call the Center to sign up, get a copy of the materials list, and fee information. Thursday at 10:00am.
Art Classes, Other – Acrylic painting class and craft project classes are offered frequently. Call the Center for schedule and fee information.
Reading Discussion Group, Fiction – Meets on the third Tuesday of each month at Noon. Titles for the coming month are published in the newsletter. No sign-up is required. New members are always welcome to join the discussion.

A variety of challenging board and card games are offered at the Center each week.
Beginner Bridge Instruction – Each Spring, a Beginner Bridge class is offered that continues throughout the year. Those truly new to the game, or rusty at it, will learn the elements of modern bidding and play of hand. Call the Center for further details and fee information. Tuesday, 10:00am-12:30pm.
Intermediate/Duplicate Lite Bridge – Alternating on Thursdays, the bridge instructor guides sessions for intermediate bridge players and those playing Duplicate Lite. Call Center for further details and fee information. Thursdays, 10:00am-12:30pm.
Mah Jongg – Those with knowledge of Mah Jongg meet to play this popular game once a week. Mah Jongg is a Chinese game played usually by 4 people with 136 or 144 rectangular tiles imprinted with different symbols. No sign-up is required and there is no fee to play. Wednesday at 9:30am.
Scrabble – The popular word game is played at the Center once a week. Wednesday, 10am.
Canasta – A form of rummy, this card game is played once a week at the Center. Tuesday, 9:30am.
Poker (Chips Only) – Join other players in poker. Chips only. Friday, 12:30pm.
A weekly matinee is shown each Thursday and a foreign film is shown on the last Friday of the month. All films are shown with subtitles or closed captions. Please see the newsletter for the list of scheduled films.

Musical and Theatrical Performances
Musical performances by concert pianists, opera singers, and string ensembles are scheduled periodically throughout the year. As well, the Center schedules occasional trips to the Paper Mill Playhouse and other venues to see performances. Please consult the newsletter for any scheduled events.
